Fresh, Modern, Bespoke Weddings across Tasmania

Hello!

Image

Hello and Welcome! I’m Kathleen Ryan and I’m a professionally trained and registered marriage celebrant working across the whole state of Tasmania. I’m all about collaborating with loved up couples to create their ideal wedding, whatever it may be.

I am proud to be a part of a new wave of marriage celebrant emerging, creating bespoke ceremonies that have energy, personality and laughter, which embody who you are as a couple. After all, this day is meant to be about you!

I love weddings, and far from being the uptight and stodgy part of the day that precedes the drinks and dancing, I think the ceremony should be the very pinnacle, the bees knees, of the event!

Whether you are after a casual and relaxed event that’s sweet and simple, or you want to pack as much as you can into this awesome and special day, or perhaps you want to showcase the individuality, quirks and passions that showcase who you both are, we can make it happen.

Marriage Celebrant Tasmania Quirky

About Me

I reside in the utterly quirky, former mining town of Queenstown, on Tasmania’s west coast with my wonderful partner Tom and our ridiculously adorable dog Manny. Originally from country NSW, I now well and truly call Tasmania home.

When not being a marriage celebrant, my ‘day job’ involves spinning tales of adventure and hardship on the historic tourist train that trundles through the rainforest from Queenstown to Strahan. Telling stories for a living is a helluva gig, and I enjoy getting to meet and chat with new people every day.

I like to see the fun in most situations and put people at their ease. Though I don’t take myself too seriously, I do take my work seriously, and am a stickler for the smaller details. Although I am new to this profession, I am not new to the skill set it involves. I have attained my Certificate IV in Celebrancy and am a seasoned public speaker. I am very experienced with crowd management, and engaging large groups of people, and have an enthusiastic and professional attitude, with which I will give you a ceremony comparable to a celebrant with years in the industry.

What’s involved?

How exactly do we put a ring on it?

There are various aspects that need to be considered and fulfilled in creating a legal wedding ceremony in Australia, from the legal paperwork and wording, to the fun and creative aspects of crafting the ceremony. Before any of that begins, however, it’s important you both feel comfortable and happy with your celebrant!

Feel free to get in touch for a chat, whether it’s video chat or in person, to make sure I’m the marriage celebrant for you. And if you’re happy to get cracking, then…

  • First, it's the Paperwork

First, we’ll get together and complete the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form which states your intention to marry, and activates the whole process. This is also when we can start to talk about what you want (and don’t want!) for your wedding. We can start to assemble the basic structure of the ceremony, and lock in dates.

  • Crafting a Ceremony

Ceremonies are incredibly customisable and can be as simple and quick or as packed to the brim as you like. There are certain aspects that need to be included in your ceremony, however, there is also a lot of room for creativity. I will make sure the structure of the ceremony is legally binding, and we will keep in contact via email, phone, video call or in person to go over any extras and changes.

  • The Big Day!

The Big Day is arriving and the exciting part is about to begin! I’ll be with you every step of the way to make sure you say and do all you need to, the ceremony plays through the way you have planned, and that you enjoy yourself as well! After the vows, I will walk you and your witnesses through signing the three required marriage documents, before I present you as a newly, married couple to your friends and family. Then, it’s over to you to party the night away!
